Some months have passed since the issue of the last Update Bulletin, however, the development of the System has been extraordinary in this time.

Developments:

Membership Database

New Member Data Entry Screen now has coloured fields to signify mandatory data entry.

System Index

A new Button has been placed on the Main Menu that allows printing of the System Index.

This facility is utilized where you require to perform a task and are unsure of which direction to take. The Index directs you through the menu’s to the correct area.

Procedure Manual

The Manual is now complete and available in simple format.

Members Birth date by Month

The report now lists members in Day Order.

Membership Report

A new report has been included that lists Members alphabetically, regardless of financial status.

General Notices

A new section has been included within the Secretary’s Module that issues Notices on Club letterhead and can be used for any purpose.

The other existing Notices are specific to Meeting Notices and Flyers.

Call Games

A new section has been included to produce notices to Members calling for the completion of Rounds of Championship Games. The notice lists the Event, players (Teams), completion date and time as well as forfeiture conditions

Electronic Game Entry (This is exciting)

A complete new Module has been included that permits intending and interested players and visitors to enter events directly into the computer via a network link.

How it works – A low priced second hand computer with network ability is placed in a secure location where Members can access to lodge their entries to any game listed in the Bowls Calendar (This computer can be supplied by CMS for as little as $200).

A Bulletin Board is also available (on the screen) to Members and Visitors where you may post any information that you desire.

The intending player(s) are able to view all upcoming Events, Date of Event, Start Time and Limit to Number of Entries. The screen displays the number of entries received to this moment.

Bookings can be made by the click of a button right up to the time the Games Director closes entries and on any future Event.

Prior to game start, the Games Director simply calls up the event and a report is produced listing the Event, Event date, Single entries, Team entries and Reserve players.

No more scrappy and scratchy Event sheets on the Notice Board that cause the Event controller nightmares.

A quick simple demonstration to Members is all that is required to have them using the System with confidence.

Now that Members and Visitors are booking electronically, their playing habits are captured in the System and reports are available that provide information that will enable Committee’s to provide more popular Events. One of the reports lists how many times each Member has played during the Bowling Season, in which Events and with whom.

All the Events are imported automatically from the Bowls Calendar and an Edit facility enables you to include those last minute Events or delete events from the Bowls Calendar.

This System is designed to operate with very minimal input from you, provide fun in Games Bookings and provide you with information captured.

Pennant Team Selections

Many improvements have been made to the Pennant System without removing the simple weekly selection method currently in use.

There are now two options available to Selectors :-

The current simple method of weekly selections or the complete method that archives the selections and results, then produces analysis of those results.

The information reports generated include :-

Pennant Season Draw including Home/Away

Teams Selected week by week

Division and Rink results week by week (Points and Margin)

Individual player performance by Division, by Rink, by Round

Player Un-Availability

Un-Selected Players this Round

Number of times each Player has played in each Division

Help and Explanation file is easily viewed and printed if required.

The System still produces :- 

Pennant interested players sheet for notice board (Pre-Season)

Pennant un-available sheet for notice board

Automatic registration lodgment to District/Zone (Pre-Season)

Pennant Division Season Draws

Selected Teams notices

Pennant results

Simple method Score Cards automatically printed with all details

Managers Summary sheet
